Featured Projects

I've worked on some diverse projects, as you can seen below. This is not meant to be a comprehensive list, but a sampling of projects I have worked on.

I'm focused on continuing to pursue interesting projects. Please contact me with any questions.

Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School

In the Fall of 2010 I entered a full time MBA program at Johns Hopkins. The Global MBA program attracted me with promises of "Business with Humanity in Mind". It has certainly lived up to expectations.

What I really enjoy about the program is a focus on immersion learning. I've had the opportunity to work with several real clients on a variety of projects ranging from a start-up IPTV station to an established medical device supplier.

In addition to a strong accounting/finance training, I'm focusing on health care, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Innovation for Humanity - Rwanda

One of the central components of my MBA education at Hopkins was the Innovation for Humanity Project. The intention of the project was to experience how business functions in the developing world. Students were sent to four countries: Kenya, Rwanda, Peru, and India. Each group was assigned to a local entrepreneur to perform field work.

My group worked at a medical clinic where we performed numerous tasks: conducting an audit of the operations, developing an electronic medical system strategy, and implementing a plan to improve patient satisfaction and the delivery of care.

I was lead responsible for developing a rudimentary electronic medical record tracking system using Excel and Access. You can read more about my experiences here.

Gillieo Media

I founded Gillieo Media in 2007 as my online home for showcasing my work and pursuing consulting opportunites.

I worked for a variety of clients including non-profits, entrepreneurs, and large companies to develop marketing strategies for the web.

I produced photography, copywriting, and publicity media for publication in print and online news sources.

North American Publishing Company

"Philadelphia-based North American Publishing Company offers more than 15 information-based print, digital and Internet products and leading trade expositions, building on 45 years of service to existing and emerging new markets in Commerical Printing and Graphic Arts, Direct Marketing, Publishing, Consumer Electronics, Retailing, Broadcasting and Promotional Products."

At NAPCO I served as Web Master in charge of managing multiple websites and newsletters serving their diverse markets. I helped implement new initiatives and served as support to a large team of content providers. During my tenure, I was a part of a major project to overhaul their Content Management system.

Professional Disc Golf Association

If you don't know much about disc golf, you should. It's one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. There are courses all over the world.

I worked for the Professional Disc Golf Association for 3 years after college. With a full time staff of four, I wore many hats. In addition to managing two websites, I primary lead for construction of the International Disc Golf Center.

I was responsible for mutliple marketing iniatives, including managing media coverage of our National Tour and related events. I organized a major fundrasing campaign to fund the IDGC.

I served on the board of directors from 2008-2010 where I assisted with budgetary decisions and strategy.

Collegiate Disc Golf

During my time with the PDGA, I co-founded a program to organize collegiate disc golf in the United States. The product was the National Collegiate Disc Golf Union.

The NCDGU organizes the Collegiate Disc Golf Championships, held each year in North Augusta, South Carolina. Thousands of collegiate disc golf players compete for the title each year.

I helped conceive, develop and launch the web site for the Union and the Championship. I continue to assist with the organization.
